Recipes of Ibiza and Formentera

The islands of Ibiza and Formentera are famous for the beautiful landscapes and the fun of the party. But they are also known for the delicious local cuisine. Today I share some recipes that will have taste of sea and Sun.


The traditional cuisine of the Islands is well Mediterranean, which means that it includes cereals such as wheat, wine and olive oil and that changes depending on the seasons.


Rice of fisherman


Ingredients:

100 g calamares100 g rapé10 mejillones20 almejas4 langostinos300 arroz1 morrón2 gr-toothed ajoperejilchorizocaldo of pescadoaceite and salt

Preparation:


Add a little oil in a saucepan and saute the pepper and minced garlic. Once it is golden add rice and sauté. Then add the necessary amount of broth cooking the rice.


When it starts to boil, add salt and chorizo. Add the fish, the snuff and squid. Then either clean the mussels and clams.


Let cook with the semi-tapada pot until the rice is cooked.


Correct the salt and add the parsley. Turn off heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.


You have also a recipe for a delicious dessert, and something exotic, Greixonera.


Ingredients:

1 litre of leche4 ensaimadas or croissants8 huevos400 azúcar1 canela1 limón1 tablespoon g DRAM liqueur to taste

Preparation:


Cut into pieces the ensaimadas or the croissants and leave them to soak in milk until they dump. Incorporate 8 egg yolks and whites 4 and mix well.


Add the sugar to the milk and cinnamon, grated lemon rind and liquor. Mix well and place in a greixonera (a special mold, but you can choose a flanhole) with the caramelized Fund.
